I, like you, have things in my life that make me happy. Here is a list of some things that I think are way cool.
Guillemots"I Don't Feel Amazing Now" is the theme song I imagine when I think of my YA novel, Teenage Asylums. Here is a clip of two of the band members playing it in a park.

Listverse:This is one of my favourite websites. Guaranteed if I am bored or procrastinating I am 100% on this website. Hours upon hours. I really enjoy the bizarre lists. And the ones about mysteries.
Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows- "The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is a compendium of invented words written by John Koenig. Each original definition aims to fill a hole in the language—to give a name to emotions we all might experience but don’t yet have a word for."
Jim Carrey and this speech

The Oakwood—This restaurant is in my neighbourhood and serves the BEST brunch. They serve great food all day but their brunch is on another level of awesome.
Rain or Shine Ice Creme— Another in my neighbourhood food place. They serve local delicious ice creme, like honey lavender. Anytime I need a break, a walk to this place is perfect. They also have the biggest and bestest sundaes. Whipped creme and cherries, yes please.
Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen— I love this speech/song. I taped it off the radio onto a cassette in jr high and listened to it all the time.

Salvador Dali— He was my inspiration in high school when all I wanted was to be a painter.
The Streets (The albums Original Pirate Materialand AGrand Don't come for Free in particular)

Cartems— Donuts of awesomeness in Vancouver. Ask for their Key Lime Pie or London Fog. You won't be sorry.
The Harvest Deli—Sandwiches. Brilliant, delicious sandwiches. In Kitsilano.
Dark Table— Eating in pitch black darkness. Yes please. This is a fun time. Seriously.
Titus Andronicus— I love this play. I love this movie! One of my favourite characters from literature is in this play. Aaron the moor. He is a complex and truly horrifying villain. I love reading about villains and am not too secretly happy about all the villain stuff popping up in movies and TV lately. The speech with Aaron on the ladder is perhaps my all time favourite.

Underwater monsters and the possibilities of what could be down in the depths.—
I just really enjoying imaging the creatures that could be down there. Or looking at drawings that people used to draw of imagined creatures. It's all about the unknown. Imagination man. Its the best.
Settlers of Catan— I've been playing this game since college. I love it. And just general, I am a total board gamer. If I had time I would start a youtube channel reviewing games. Because, I love them so much. I am always looking for new people to play with so hit up my Facebook page if you live in Vancouver and wanna play.
Tanya Tagaq— Throat singer who will take you into the other land, that place where spirit lives. If you ever have a chance to see her live, I beg of you take it. It will feed your soul.
